Floor laying is mostly done in the event that your wooden flooring is damaged beyond repair or you have concrete as a sub floor. Other reasons could be that you want hardwood in your hallway as pine will wear quicker with heavy traffic. We would never recommend any wooden flooring in a toilet or kitchen as water or humidity can warp or de-laminate your flooring.
1st Choice Floor Sanding can source the best prices for your flooring and have a very competitive fitting price. The best way to get the exact quote is for us to see the area and talk with you in person. We want to know what woods you like and what colours you would prefer then we can help you make the right decision. This is very hard to do over the phone, so arranging a face to face meeting is a must.

As a floor laying company we can supply and lay or just lay it if you have already bought your flooring. We are lucky as there are hundreds of different types and makes of flooring to choose from along with colours and grain patterns.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have and help you through the process as much as we can. We strive to get full customer satisfaction and feel we have achieved this in the work we have already done in the past.
We have 10 years experience in floor laying and know all the tricks of the trade to make your floor look as perfect as we can. A lot of people get joiners to fit flooring but in our experience they can lay floors to tight without leaving an expansion gap. Make sure you ask questions and make sure it has been done right as you don't want your floor to start lifting in the middle.

The floor laying process is pretty simple if you know how, but can be expensive as it is labour intensive, so if you are getting a quote, be prepared as solid Hardwood flooring won’t be the cheapest option. An alternative to laying a new floor could be getting it sanded if your wooden floor is in a good condition, this is the less expensive option. Laminates are also a cheaper alternative to hardwoods and have became increasingly popular in the last 10 years. There are some very solid and good looking laminates out there, but there are also cheap and nasty brands so be careful and ask questions before you buy.

If you are renting out your property, wooden flooring is a practical and cost-effective way to make your property look appealing and to keep it looking good through the years. Accidents do happen, especially in the world of renting and a hardwood floor can help to avoid the inevitable cost of replacing or professionally cleaning carpets.
